Statement from President Joe Biden on the December 2024 Jobs Report:

"With today’s report of 256,000 new jobs in December, we have created over 16.6 million jobs over the course of my administration and this is the only administration in history to have created jobs every single month. Although I inherited the worst economic crisis in decades with unemployment above 6% when I took office, we’ve had the lowest average unemployment rate of any administration in 50 years with unemployment at 4.1% as I leave. Although forecasts were projecting it would take years to achieve a full recovery, we have had the strongest growth and employment creation of any advanced country, brought inflation back down, and achieved the soft landing that few thought was possible..."

Trump (again) on election meddling by Russia: Nope... Hillary, Democrats and the FBI -- THEY'RE the threats to the republic. (Updated)

(7/16/18 commentary, temporarily posted. UPDATED below:)

....Certainly NOT the (allegedly-) murderous despot standing right next to me......(because 'he told me so'):

How scary is this↓ (..including Trump's rambling, completely evasive (non-)answer .....):

7/17/18 update: Hear a 'weasel' cry.... (Per following article link.) FWIW: I/we need REAL proof that Trump somehow "misspoke" in Helsinki w/ Putin.  This is a person who has been caught lying (or misleading) well over 3000 times in his presidency. The belated 'mea culpa' (- he still couldn't even do that without contradicting ad libs -) is much more likely (an attempt at) "damage control".

..Trump just did not have the brains or the 'balls' to challenge his idol, Putin (i.e., in Helsinki -- or (likely) anywhere)...
...(Real) Presidents don't get world-stage press conference "do-overs".

(↓Previously written text:)
(Comment:) At bare minimum, all Trump needed to do per the (fair) question recorded above: Turn and "ask" President Putin to pledge -- in front of the world -- that the Russian state (will) end interference with democratic elections, including those in the U.S. (Perhaps it could have even involved reciprocating (impromptu) pledges, i.e.; from both "leaders"...)

If nothing else, that moment would have been on-record (for all to (re-)view)...

7/16/18 update. Copy, reposted:

Excerpted quotation from Senator McCain:
“...No prior president has ever abased himself more abjectly before a tyrant. Not only did President Trump fail to speak the truth about an adversary; but speaking for America to the world, our president failed to defend all that makes us who we are—a republic of free people dedicated to the cause of liberty at home and abroad. American presidents must be the champions of that cause if it is to succeed. Americans are waiting and hoping for President Trump to embrace that sacred responsibility. One can only hope they are not waiting totally in vain.”

P.S. Putin/Trump summit 'talks' about possibly extending START were expected (i.e., in advance).  (7/15/18 article link: http://time.com/5338658/donald-trump-vladimir-putin-summit-nuclear-deal/)
