(8/13/18 preface: OK, this is going to be a reactive, rambling, (kind-of) "stream-of consciousness" post today. It's one person's opinion/impressions about someone else.... who probably brings out strong reactions from (many) others.
So please: Take it or leave it.  (I.e., what follows.) It's your choice:)

(Commentary follows. Plus a reminder: Per below, Donald Trump clearly cannot handle anyone "standing up to him" -- especially an "underling"(and/or a black person). (Update: Also including this separate, ''tin-pot dictator'' (re-)action, today (8/15/18 news story link).) However, (I'd suggest that) the thin-skinned president probably doesn't completely mind the "Omarosa sideshow"(if you will), as it helps distract from damaging actions his regime is pursuing. E.g., dismantling environmental protections, assaulting U.S. national parks, mounting ill-conceived tariff actions, cozying-up with Russians; and more...:)

Rightly or wrongly, Omarosa recorded Chief-of-Staff General John Kelly in the White House 'Situation Room'!!! (Assuming that the published recording is legit.)

In hindsight: Who was the real 'boss' there (i.e., in that meeting).....??

(Comment, rhetorical questions:) Why did Kelly take her to the Situation Room to begin with? They (apparently) have (just?) an "honor" system about dropping-off personal cell phones -- for the "ultra-secure" Situation Room???  (Assuming that a cellphone was what Omarosa used to record, though that ultimately doesn't matter much here (either)...A (surreptitious) recording appears to exist.)

Aside: I have technical training but am not a cell phone security or detection expert at all. But just some quick, cursory research on Google yields the following (unaffiliated, linked) articles covering cell phone detection devices/methods. ..Which seem readily available.
(Some "secure" room, eh??  Omarosa (apparently) got-around the super-security!! Update: Apparently not "super-security" (news article link)....):

Calling attention here to Omarosa "borrowing" - or at least displaying how she's perhaps learned - a few "hostile"(?) interview "tactics" from Donald, her former boss. E.g.: Repeatedly interrupting the interviewer, counter-attacking, attempting to control/limit the questioning, feigning being insulted or put-upon, not directly answering questions (repeatedly), aggressively inserting her own narrative and interpretations of events, hawking something she's selling. (And so on..:)

(Insert: Can you imagine anything like this -- and other scandals (or worse) -- occurring in the Obama administration? What would the (Republican) consequences have been, if they had..??
