...The first article (link below) seemed like a way to ultimately proceed for national Democrats....(Though they could possibly try BOTH..:)

......until this↓ (latest) "fire alarm was pulled" today (..credit for the description: https://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show). Off-site 1/15/19 news story is linked:
"Trump Discussed Pulling U.S. From NATO, Aides Say..."(Of course there's this little recent item as well: https://www.theonion.com/fbi-opened-inquiry-into-whether-trump-working-for-russi-1831766180)
..........................................................................................................................................................................
(Brief comment:) Apparently protecting our republic is currently 'up to' Democrats. ..So please (quickly) find out if alarming ("senior administration" source) information presented in the NYT 1/15/19 article is essentially true (- it will be denied, of course -), and then please work very hard to charge and (attempt to) remove 'Benedict Arnold' from the office of president. ...As soon as freakin' possible...
1/16/19 update (story link):
"Donald Trump withdrawing from NATO should lead to impeachment or 25th Amendment, Democratic Congresswoman says.."1/17/19 in-depth articles (links): "Impeach Donald Trump"

>>> 1/18/19 update (off-site analysis/commentary link): ".... may be smoking gun in the Russia investigation(?)"
↓Update: ...Or perhaps not quite...?(Copies, no affiliation:)
I can’t speak to Buzzfeed’s sourcing, but, for what it’s worth, I declined to run with parts of the narrative they conveyed based on a source central to the story repeatedly disputing the idea that Trump directly issued orders of that kind.— Ronan Farrow (@RonanFarrow) January 19, 2019
Note that the general thrust of Cohen lying to Congress “in accordance with” or “to support and advance” Trump’s agenda (per Cohen’s legal memo) is not in dispute. The source disputed the further, more specific idea that Trump issued—and memorialized—repeated direct instructions.— Ronan Farrow (@RonanFarrow) January 19, 2019
